Book Talk: Russia vs. the West and the New Politics of Hybrid War

May 1, 2019, 11:30am-12:30pm (registration required)
Foreign Policy Research Institute, 1528 Walnut Street, Suite 610, Philadelphia, PA

Join the Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI) for a book talk with Mitchell Orenstein on his new book, "The Lands in Between: Russia vs the West and the New Politics of Hybrid War." Orenstein explores the nature of Russia’s hybrid war on the West, and how the West has responded, even if only belatedly.  As a student of the politics of such countries as Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, Orenstein depicts the politics of polarization as experienced in these countries, with a view to illuminating how that same kind of politics is now bewitching the West as a whole.

Registration is required. The book talk is free and open to the public; a private lunch will follow from 12:30 to 1:45 for for FPRI Members at the $500 level and above.
