Foreign Influence in the 2020 Election

March 19, 2020, 6:00-7:45pm (registration required)
Present Day Club, 72 Stockton St., Princeton, NJ

Join the Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI) for a talk with Clint Watts on the influence of foreign actors in the 2020 U.S. elections. Having been one of the first analysts to sound the alarm in 2016 about Russian attempts to influence the 2020 election and sow divisions within the American polity, Clint Watts has now launched a new FPRI project to study the influence of foreign actors (namely, Russia, China and Iran) in the 2020 election.  A distinguished research fellow at FPRI and a national security analyst for NBC, Watts is author of "Messing with the Enemy: Surviving in a Social Media World of Hackers, Terrorists, Russians, and Fake News," the story of his trajectory doing cutting-edge research on the online behavior of jihadis to tracking Russian trolls. This edition of Geopolitics will be guest hosted by the new president of FPRI, Carol “Rollie” Flynn, a 30-year veteran of the CIA.

Registration is required and is free for Members of FPRI at the $100 level and above and members of NLM; $10 for Non-Members. The event is free to students with student ID. More information can be found on the event page.
