Makarov, Ph.D. in Economics, is head of the School of World Economy at HSE. He also directs the Laboratory for Climate Change Economics and works as a senior research fellow at the Center for Comprehensive European and International Studies at HSE. He is now a visiting scholar at the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Harvard University. Makarov’s research interests cover climate change economics and policy, international political economy, and globalization.
