Dec. 4, 2019, 11:00am-12:00pm (RSVP requested)
5th Floor Conference Room, Wilson Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Washington, DC

Join the Wilson Center's Kennan Institute for a talk with Zeev Levin, head of the Central Asian Unit at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, on the future of the division of power and relations between the government and political parties in Uzbekistan. Since the 2016 presidential elections in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the country has introduced extensive civic, economic and governmental reforms. In the weeks before the December 22 parliamentary elections, the issue of expanding these reforms to parliament is drawing increased attention. Dr. Levin will touch on these topics and more in his talk.

RSVP is requested; information can be found at this link.
