Join Harvard's Davis Center for a book talk with author Kate Brown. 

The most common perception of the Chernobyl disaster includes a narrative of the "masculine, patriotic hero" putting his life on the line to attempt to contain radioactive materials. Kate Brown reveals a much larger story, which played out "in kitchens, gardens, and community health clinics" in her book, Manual for Survival: A Chernobyl Guide to the Future.
