Russian Active Measures: Past, Present, and Future
Join CSIS for a lecture on Reagan's response to Soviet "active measures" and the lessons from the 1980s that can be applied to today. RSVP here.
Please join us for the next installment of the Schieffer Series, Russian Active Measures: Past, Present, and Future. The discussion will focus on U.S.-Russian information warfare and how we can learn lessons from the past. During the Cold War, the Soviets engaged in a series of “active measures” to influence populations across the globe, including in the United States. In response, the Reagan Administration responded with a combination of overt and covert information operations. This panel will explore lessons from the Reagan Administration and implications for today.

Michael Hayden, Former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency and National Security Agency
John Hamre, CSIS President and CEO
