When Vladimir Putin first took power in 1999, he was a little-known figure ruling a country that was reeling from a decade and a half of crisis. In the years since, he has reestablished Russia as a great power in the face of economic crises and financial sanctions. How has the Kremlin managed to retain political stability at home and project power abroad amid ongoing economic pressure? This presentation will explore the key pillars of Putinomicsthe factors that have driven Russian economic policy over the past two decades, and the challenges they face over Putin's new term as Russia's president.
