The electoral victory of Donald Trump in 2016 surprised many, including the winner, the vanquished and the specialists. Almost four years later, bitterly divided citizens still struggle to understand what happened. Dr. Igor Lukes of Boston University seeks to cast light on several lesser-known factors behind Trump’s victory four years ago and elucidate the warning signs for the coming election.
