As combatants and civilians, women are a big part of wars. Yet, women’s participation in war is often marginalized in the mass media and academic literature. Addressing this oversight, this roundtable examines women’s experiences during World War II and the Russia-Ukraine War. The discussion illustrates diverse ways in which women participate in a war.
